*Siheung is about 1/2 hr. SW of Seoul; fairly small; nice, though- really reminds me of
being in Japan
*i am told my apartment is probably the biggest of the English teachers, I was very
pleased with it; i have a bed a tv, a balcony area to dry clothes, a kitchen, bathroom,
and some kind of sitting-room; the furnishings aren't the best, but thats fine; i do
not, however, have a rice cooker, as i was promised..... this i am very sad about
I will put up pictures as soon as i can!
-co-teachers showed me how to use all of my appliances, as the buttons are all in Korean...
-taken to various little shops to buy groceries for the next few days
-i am on my own until next Tuesday or Wednesday :/

Placements

We finally found out our placement information late last night:
1) Ben Carrier- Neung Gok High school in Siheung city
2) Christine Lynch- Ham Hyeon High school in Siheung city
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ben and I are going to be living in the same city again!!
After we met last fall interning in Washington, D.C. I moved back to Madison, WI to finish a semester of school and Ben moved back to Maple Grove, MN (Twin Cities area) to work a spring/summer job at TruGreen.
Now, after doing the long-distance thing for about 8 months, we will FINALLY be living 5 min. (rather than 5 hours) apart!!!
We will be heading down to Chicago on Wednesday, August 19 (2 weeks!), and flying out of Chicago O'Hare on the 20th, to arrive in Korea on the 21st.
SO excited!
